Play, Create, Share...Stories?

LittleBigPlanet is, in my mind, one of the most innovative games of this generation. Play, Create, Share is the life of the game and it's evident throughout every facet of play. It gives the player the ability to play and create their own levels in such a unique way that it literally becomes their own game, and then they are able to share these levels with the entire LBP community. There's a lot going on there.

Now, with the sequel, Media Molecule is taking the concept even further and giving players the ability to create their own stories and link their levels together. Check it out (The video is really small, for a larger HD version, click here):

How they plan to allow people to create their own stories isn't really clear yet, but however they do it, it's going to open up a lot more in the realm of possibility than the first game did. Players can create something even more unique to themselves and their creativity than any other game I've seen (Not that I've seen an overwhelming number of games that foster creativity in the player), and hopefully people will come up with awesome ideas that will expand our imaginations in some way.

For those of you who don't know...

I really like video games. So much that I decided to dedicate a blog to them. This one will be weekly too, and will cover as many topics on video games as I can possibly think to cover or find. Some of it will be me previewing or reviewing (that should be interesting) games or just letting people know what's out there. At some point, once I actually figure out how (and if) I can do it, I'll put my violence and video games project up (but not before some editing and preventative measures). I'm not sure what my first post will be, but maybe when I find out I'll just post a title and a date that I expect it to be finished on. We'll see.
